Commuters using Kings Norton, Northfield and Longbridge could see a raft of new services if a campaign led by local campaigner Gary Sambrook succeeds.
Gary is championing a plan that would see the re-opening of the Camp Hill line to passenger trains resulting in new services right the way along the line to Longbridge.
The Camp Hill line is due to re-open with new stations at Moseley, Kings Heath and Hazelwell after work by West Midlands Mayor Andy Street, including securing £15million in Government funding.
Gary comments, “It is great news that this rail investment is coming to South Birmingham – but let’s bring that success to this community by extending the new passenger services right through to Longbridge.”
