Many residents have raised with Councillor Debbie Clancy speeding on local roads. She made enquiries with the gentleman who’s responsible for speed monitors in Northfield and has been told he would no longer be able to install the monitors as he’s been stopped from using a ladder to place these on street furniture. To add insult to injury he has also told her that the monitors are obsolete because the software can’t be updated as the company that owns it no longer trades in the UK. Last but not least, the batteries on the monitors require changing and they cost £75 each which also seems to be a problem even though the City has spent £7 million on the bin strike so far!
